Jacksonville Vineyards and Fiasco Winery

Jacksonville Vineyards and Fiasco Winery represent the contrasting tastes and personalities of the owners, Dave and Pamela Palmer: adventurous and down to earth, dedicated to quality and a bit zany.  The only question is which Palmer adds which element to the blend.

Natives of Grants Pass, Oregon Dave and Pamela Palmer planted Jacksonville Vineyards was planted in 1999.  Once the vines were established, they started construction on a 200 barrel winery and renovated he original 1897 farmhouse to serve as their home. The Palmers opened the doors of their tasting room in November 2005, offering as their first release a 2003 Bordeaux blend labeled “Claret.” Current offerings include 2006 Merlot, 2005 Cabernet Reserve and 2006 Claret.

Soon after Jacksonville Vineyards reached full production, the Palmers added Fiasco Winery to represent their more audacious side. Fiasco produces small lots of Syrah, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Syrah Rosé, Super Tuscan, and unique annual blends such as a 2007 Rogallo Red, all available in a relaxed European garden style tasting room.
